Wow! What a day we had for our annual fun-day ‘KnockinAround’ on August Bank Holiday.
The weather was kind, and it was amazing to see so many people from the cricket club and the local community enjoying themselves. We’ve received some great feedback from the event, and it seems that everyone who attended had an enjoyable and memorable day.

This annual event is our main fundraiser for the year and is so crucial to ensuring the future of our club, as across the country we witness far too many village cricket clubs just disappearing through lack of support and / or funds. Therefore, I’m thrilled to report this event has put our club in a healthy position as we look forward to 2025 and beyond. I’m also really pleased to announce that the event also allowed us to make a £1000 donation to Dementia UK. Who were absolutely overjoyed with the donation.

I would like to pass on my personal thanks, and the thanks on behalf of Knockin & Kinnerley cricket club to:

• Everyone from the community who attended the event and showed us such great support.
• All the kind donations by local businesses and club members for the successful raffle and auction.
• To the bands/singers who entertained us into the evening.
• To all the teams who participated in the fun, fancy dress, cricket tournament.
• And of course, to the army of volunteers/club members who made the event possible, of which the list is simply endless.

And remember… we’ll see you all, same time, same place, next year!
